Spring Cannabis Grow and Planning for Summer

This year I am hoping to take the summer off from growing indoors and just have a few great outdoor plants.

As many people know, it gets very warm here in Spain in the summer and airecon is really the only way to grow indoors and with times still being tough for most of us, saving a few thousand k’s of electricity will help enormously!

So I am thinking ahead and starting a new batch here right now, some Critical + and Moby Dick from my friends Dinafem and also a small selection of autoflowering strains that will will be ready in about 60 days or so. I may also add another strain, dependant upon my mood this week :-)

This spring grow will hopefully yield me enough to get me through the four months of summer. (I estimate my own personal consumption about 2oz per month but that can go up a lot if I have lots of friends over during the summer)

Sun is Shining, Weather is Sweet

The sun is already great right now, nice daytime temps of around 70f+ so a few of the new plants are going to be taking advantage of this already.

Working out your own schedule, not just your lights is really important; for example I’m a very late night person, often up til 5-6 am and up by noon so my plants schedule right now is lights on at noon and off at 6am (18hrs).

At noon they go outside in the sun til about 6pm at the moment, then they go indoors into their grow room. They are only about ten days old and I will do this throughout the veg cycle and then see how things look.

Of course when they go into 12 hours of light the automatics will stay on that 18 hrs, they are short and will continue to be easy to move in and outdoors.

Update: Bio Comparison Test – Canna and Cannabium

bio, canna, cannabium, indoor grow, indoor growing

Just a brief update; Our workload is quite heavy at the moment with several projects being worked on simultaneously both here in Spain and abroad.

  • Launching the new website and the blog and facebook, twitter, youtube etc etc zzzzzzz has been a serious challenge and extremely time consuming, particularly as we are not all internet experts by any stretch of the imagination. Our intentions are to be able to work closely with one or two niches that prove easiest for our visitors and our clients but we do not know which is best yet until we have a lot of feedback and information of course. Altho it is a heavy workload we are having fun, sometimes a little too much fun as my recent interview with one of the organisers at the spannabis event will show:
  •

  • We are working hard at organising more seeds for some of our medical patients who will grow and provide strain tests and grow reports on some of our good Spanish medical seeds. These reports will over the next few weeks start to appear on the cannabis forum pages. Indeed we are still looking for medical home growers that would like to try some Spanish seeds and keep us updated with the grow.
  •

  • We are also running a very small test on a clients grow, comparing different “>bio soils and fertilisers from Canna and Cannabium. Simply 3 plants will be eating Canna bio range and another 3 plants the Cannabium bio range. How straightforward can you get? This is not meant to be conclusive in any way just to show what will work best in this individual environment. We will add some videos and we hope to have your sympathy, empathy and humour as we put our amateurish video making prowess to test. (Like anything, things improve with experience right?)
  •

  • We are also in the process of harvesting a few cheese and shark attack plants, again we will upload a few vid’s where possible as many I know, like ourselves do actually get pretty chilled out watching peoples personal grows/styles/techniques etc
  •

  • Oh yes, we have established storage and are finalising deliveries etc for the Spanish cannabis seeds so hopefully we will start to get the shop updated and working quite shortly. In the mean time, if you are looking for some Spanish seeds, either for wholesale or for personal medical use let us know as we will be able to provide before the on-line shop is up and running most likely.
